A Layered Architecture based on Java for Internet and Intranet Information Systems

In this paper we present an architecture for building Information Systems that can be adapted to several runtime environments. Our architecture is structured in three layers: client, services and data layers. All the layers are independent, making the system more flexible and scalable.
